I did FaceTime Dan,” he added, referring to the other half of the country duo. “You can just imagine my entire body being clothed in a t-shirt that looks like from a woman’s dress.”He added, “It was beautiful. It was stunning, and I’m pretty sure it was Shaquille O’Neal’s.”

Mooney and Smyers — who recently wongroup/duo of 2023at the2023 People’s Choice Country Awards— joined a line-up at the event’s concert that includedJennifer Hudson,John LegendandAnderson Paak. As well as the musical performances, the night featured a private dinner and live auction, during which O’Neal proved that along with his impressive stature, he has a big heart.

During the auction, the NBA legend made a winning $20,000 bid for the chance to sit at a single table on stage during the concert — andthen gave the prize to his mom. His generosity didn’t stop there, as O’Neal went on to place a bid of $50,000 on a vacation to Bora Bora, which he then won.

O’Neal started his foundation in 2019 and has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club and Communities in Schools, and they work to create opportunities for underserved youths. According tothe foundation’s website, the two organizations are close to the NBA legend’s heart.
