Jeannie Mai Jenkinshas broken her silence after her husbandJeezyfiled fordivorcelast month.
On Wednesday,The Realhost, 44, shared her first Instagram post since the rapper, 46, filed for divorce on Sept. 14, 2023 after two-and-a-half years of marriage.
The post featured the words, “Sometimes, you need to take a break and disconnect, to heal,” written in a notebook in black ink. The note was signed off with a heart, while Jenkins also captioned the post with a single black heart emoji.
The former couplemarried in March 2021at their home in Atlanta. Theywelcomed their daughter Monacoin January 2022.
The divorce document states that Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, wants to share joint legal custody of Monaco.
The “Put On” artist is also dad to son Jadarius Dykes, who was born in 1996, with Tynesha Dyke, and daughter Amra Nor Jenkins, who was born in 2014 to Jeezy and his then-partner, Mahlet “Mahi” Gebremedhin.
Just a week before the divorce filing, Jenkins had heaped praise on Jeezy for making theNew York TimesBest Seller list for his book,Adversity for Sale.
