Harley Quinn ’s current on-going series has been all about Harley moving on from her retiring life sentence with the Joker , and finding her own identity operator . Today ’s issue made that shin a very actual one — and it had an immensely cheering answer .

Although Harley has modify a lot since she left Gotham , she ’s still willing to go through some extremes to get what she wants . It ’s an ideological upper hand as well as a physical one , because while she ’s ticktack the crap out of Joker , Harley really comes out and says that she hate what he progress to her do , and how fierce she make around him . The Joker has n’t moved on from their sadistic , maniac past tense , but Harley has — and she ’s done being his lapdog .
But while it ’s fulfil to see Harley say just how done she is with the Joker , it ’s every bit meet just to watch her demolish him into meekness . It ’s nonrational and triumphant , a culmination of everything Harley has become since she leave him .
Even when he ’s beat though , the Joker just ca n’t barricade counteract people — and Harley finally actualise something Batman realized about his archnemesis ten ago . The Joker traumatizes people , pushes them to their limits , because he wants citizenry to snatch up and bring themselves plump down to his level : That infamous “ all it takes is one bad Clarence Shepard Day Jr. ” mantra from The Killing Joke .
Harley is done having defective days , though . She ’s put them behind her , and in the appendage , it ’s made her comic one of the most bewitching to take , out of DC ’s current harvest .
