Dwayne Johnsoncelebrated his mother’s 75th birthday with a Samoan balloon display featuring her name!
The actor, 51, who celebrated his mother Ata Johnson’s 75th birthday on Wednesday, revealed in a new post that he enjoyed revealing his mother’s full name in Samoan to the balloon company.
“We had fun telling the balloon company my mom’s full FIRST NAME in SAMOAN 🤣😊🇼🇸,” Dwayne wrote in his Instagram caption. “MATANIUFEAGAIMALEATA - ATA for short ❤️.”
In the video, which was played alongside Marina Davis’ song “O Le Taualuga,” Ata danced while walking the entire length of the balloon display. Waving her arms to the music, she appeared in great spirits as she wore a white lei necklace.

“She has some cool Samoan history behind her name as well,” Dwayne continued in his caption. “I always say that we got a pretty good shot in life to becoming a good, kind human being — if we got a great mom raising us.”
TheBlack Adamactor added that he “sure got lucky having this woman as my mom.”
“Happy 75th mom! We love you!! Let’s get drunk 😂🥃❤️,” he wrote as he finished off his post, adding hashtags, “#Matanuifeagaimaleata🌺#MaiviaFitisemanuJohnson🇼🇸#cheeeehoooo.”

Writing in his caption, Dwayne said that they weren’t able to take his mother home to Samoa, so instead they brought “our Samoan culture home to her 🇼🇸 ❤️.”
“She cried the whole time 😊🥹,” Dwayne added. “You can feel the mana.”
“Thank you sis@tiana_nonosinaand her incredible Polynesian dance group@nonosina1965for the beautiful and proud performances 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️,” he continued. “Happy Birthday Mom!!!We love you!#cheeeehuuuuu.”
On Wednesday, Dwayne also shared avideo of him singing Neil Sedaka’s 1960 song, “Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen,” to his mother for her birthday.
“Don’t start crying," Dwayne joked in the video as his mother played the ukulele.
“I want to sing. Do you know how to sing in tune?,” Ata added.
“I know how to sing in keys that don’t exist,” Dwayne joked.
Dwayne then started singing the lyrics, “If I should smile with sweet surprise, it’s just that you’ve grown up before my very eyes, you’ve turned into the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen, happy birthday sweet sixteen.”
During Dwayne’s singing, however, Ata jokingly corrected her son to say that she was a “woman,” not a “girl," after Dwayne paused to see if she was crying.
After singing “sweet sixteen,” Dwayne tried to figure out how many more years he needed to add to reach to his mother’s 75 years, leading to someone behind the scenes stating, “59!” Dwayne then planted a kiss on his mother’s head and placed a lei necklace around her neck.
“Thank you son, I love you. You grew up under my very own eyes too,” Ata said. “I think you are ten.”
“I still am ten!,” Dwayne joked.
