Chucky’sNew Trailer Is a Bloody Homecoming

TheChild ’s Playfranchise is making a leap to the small screen with its first television receiver show . Chucky , coiffure after the seventh picture show Cult of Chucky , see the murder - happy doll uphold his reign of terror . After festive teen Jake Wheeler ( Zachary Arthur ) picks up the Good Guy doll at a grounds sale , it does n’t take long for things to go as they ordinarily do in this situation : very , very ill .

Brad Dourif returns to vocalize Chucky , and the storey takes on some poignance as the series is set in the sequent killer whale ’s hometown of Hackensack , New Jersey . Or rather , it would be poignant if he did n’t have a schema for the township , one that involve Jennifer Tilly ’s Tiffany Valentine , his lady friend who managed to get her soulfulness back in her human consistence . The fact that this is all happening onHalloween , and the townsfolk is known for have violent spikes on the holiday , believably has something to do with it . Still , maybe there ’ll be some connection between him and Jake , who bribe Chucky to deal with the death of his female parent .

With original Child ’s Play Lord Don Mancini at the helm , there is n’t any worry of Chucky not palpate like it belong with the rest of the canyon , whichdoesn’t acknowledgethe 2019 remake . What remains to be seen is what comes of the dealership after the show ’s first season come in to a conclusion . Mancini ’s been undetermined about wanting tocontinue the franchisewith film , and it ’ll be interesting to see how far the show goes before those films start up again .
