The show ’s biggest differentiating features are its with child showing , which is still right smart too minor for anything substantial , and its speakers , which are fine , but nothing compared to the wide array of dedicated speakers you may link up to the Spot via Bluetooth or its product line - in port ( the Show is Bluetooth only ) . It reminds me a spot of how game the gawky original Echo felt in comparison to the thrifty Dot .
These smaller devices are , I think , the best representation of what a smart home assistant should be . They stay out of the way , give me the flexibility of serious audio , and they look nice . They ’re also gimcrack too ! The Dot is just $ 30 , which puts it firmly in impulse buy district , and the Amazon Echo Spot is $ 130 . If you really need an dismay clock , and are okay with that softheaded $ 100 premium for a nice small display , the Spot does the deception . It just crap me wonder why half of the residue of the Amazon Echo lineup exists mightily now .
