Back when the original Jurassic Park came out , all kind of twirl - off projects were in development . One of them was an animated serial publication that creative person William Stout did some early concept art for . Unlike the sequels we eventually get , the animated cartoon fetch back everyone from Jurassic Park .
On hisblog , Stout explained how the project was born and how it died :
Towards the close of all of this merchandising I get a call from artist Will Meugniot , asking if I ’d be interested in design a Jurassic Park animated series . This was not going to be a kiddy show ( although kids of all geezerhood , including myself , could love it ) . They wanted the show to be a matured prime time series with top writers and state - of - the - art television vitality augment with quite a bit of CG vivification . Universal Cartoon Studios wanted a “ graphic novel look ” to the series . I came in , record my portfolio and was lease .

We made a preview to convey the look and experience of the serial , also record how we would meld computer animation with traditional life . All we needed was Spielberg ’s blessing .
I see through the grapevine that he never rile to watch what we had done . By that time the Holy Scripture was out that he was burnt out on Jurassic Park merchandising and all of the film ’s commercial-grade exploitation . So , it never got made .
Now , Stout is selling the Jurassic Park concept artwork onhis site , which means we can see how Dr. Ellie Satler et al . would have looked :
