We love Steve Loya ’s Splotch Monsters , for the personality that come out from their ostensibly shapeless shapes . Loya has been post these lovable soil on his blog A Splotch Monster A Day every day since April .

This is part of an ongoing serial of “ splodge monsters ” made from rouge ( and perhaps other materials ) . My aim is to add “ personality ” or character to them with as minimal originative meddling as potential ( such as simple faces with micron pen , etc . ) . These little monster are a more clear - hearted indulgence into the itch to make “ things ” out of nonobjective , nonrepresentational shapes , forms and colors .
