We ’re just a few days away from Halloween , which intend many of you spend the weekend Dexter - ing a dead innocent autumn pumpkin in the name of tradition .
Winner : Bowser - O - Lantern
Shot my Bowser - O - Lantern right after a cutting company at around two in the dawn on HWY 95 , just outside of Las Vegas . Originally want to get an eerie shot of the autumn pumpkin on a lonely , moonlit route , but this one stuck out and seemed less cliche . The lights streaking by are from a Rudolf Christian Karl Diesel truck . It was shot on a Canon 5D Mk . II , 200 ISO , with the Canon EF 24 - 105 mm f/4 L lens . I ’ve only had the television camera for about a week and am still learning how to use it , but I though this was a cool shooter nonetheless .

The Forgotten
“ The Forgotten ” Not every pumpkin vine is lucky enough turn into a Jack - O - Lantern . Some of them are damaged in transit and thrown away before they are ever offered for sales agreement . Yesterday , I spotted a pumpkin graveyard that was next to one of those irregular Cucurbita pepo stick out that pop up this time of yr . I ask if they would bear in mind if I took some pictorial matter of the reject — they require me if I was an “ aR - teest ” . After admitting that I was just a guy participating in a weekly photo contest , they permit me wander around the part of the field where they had been flip the reject for the retiring week . The characterization was taken with a Canon 60D with a 28 millimeter lens at F1.8 with 1/3200″ photograph and ISO 100 . Post processing was done in GIMP .

Trick - Or - Treat Mannekin
I ’ve done a few photograph with these mannequins , but it ’s been a while . When I get a line what the subject for this hebdomad ’s challenge was , I want to add a little to the capable matter and think these guys would be perfect . These are the first old salt o’lanterns I ’ve carved as an adult , but I took breaks sporadically to place the mannekins and take impression . One of my friends gracefully lend me her front stoop to take the nighttime photos . Nikon D3100 , 50 mm Nikor lens , using a pocket-sized Amazon box as a tripod .

Spooky Soundtrack
My most uninspired pumpkin vine carving because I had no energy to carve anything more elaborate , smother by candles and other odds and ends taken from my roommate ’s Halloween decorations . Shot on a Canon T4i -18 mm – ISO100 – f/8 and Shutter Speed of 2 secs .

Daft Pumpkin
I had carved this Daft Pumpkin to go with the Thomas Bangalter Halloween ( in robot attire , not indolent street dress ) costume that I ’m putting together this year . To get the light gradients I did n’t cut completely through the rind anywhere on the pumpkin , so with less luminosity come through the carving , it was incredibly difficult to capture any of the Cucurbita pepo ’s skin without washing out the glow of the cutting . In the ending , I set it atop an office electric chair that I had covered with a green tarp used a halogen desk lamp inside the Jack O ’ Lantern to make trusted the face glow . I set it in front of a pair of Philips Hue light bulb that were configured to glow dimly red to light up up the exterior . tv camera : canyon EOS 6D Lens : 50 mm f/1.8 - 23 photograph : 30s ISO : 160 F number : f/22

Tinker Bell
First of all dark for my english , for foresightful time I did not write nothing in english . My friend sent me this challenge , because this class I made my first pumpkin , I need to recommend her . My inhalation was the Tinker Bell from Peter Pan . First I drew the phantasma of the Vanessa Stephen on autumn pumpkin , then gently shorten it out , using a drill I made the holes that were to resemble gilded debris . I take this exposure by Sony Alpha 580 , 3.5 - 5.6 Sony Kit Lens , 1600 ISO , F5 , 1/20 sec .
